About us

Bek Res: short for Rebekah Ressler, the founder and curator.

QUALITY

Growing up, Rebekah’s mom would take her thrifting on the weekends. She’d point out the softness of high-quality wool. How good leather smelled warm. How to tell cheap metal by its taste. What good construction looked like on the body. She taught Rebekah what details decided whether something was worth buying.

IMAGINATION

When Rebekah got her driver’s license, her obsession with the hunt grew tenfold. She grew up in suburban Georgia, which meant unmatched thrifting. Some summers, like clockwork, she’d stand outside her favorite Salvation Army at 8:55 AM with the ajummas and abuelitas, waiting for the doors to open on 25% off Wednesdays.

Like many vintage dealers, part of her interest came from the treasure hunt. Looking back, the most addictive part was the imagination she attached to an old garment. Who wore it. The history she imagined for it. The new story it carried while she wore it.

AND A GREAT EXPERIENCE

Rebekah studied industrial design in school. She learned about great designers, ergonomics, what feels good on the body and in the hand. How to build a thoughtful experience through every touchpoint.

After graduating, she moved to the city and worked as a product designer in tech. She spent three years convincing herself she could deliver “delight” through B2B software. She’s not knocking it, but it wasn’t for her.

In August 2026, she stepped away to build Bek Res: a scary decision and a fulfilling one.

Everything in the shop comes back to three things, and she hopes that when customers shop with her, they get to experience a quality piece in a new way.
